MEF supported the Energy Observer team in producing documentary videos in the Mekong Delta from the 25th to the 28th of June 2022.

Energy Observer is a zero-emission autonomous ship powered by hydrogen from France. In 2017, Energy Observer departed from the port of Saint-Malo and began its journey around the world. The ship carries a message from France about the urgent need to preserve the Earth.
Energy Observer’s round-the-world cruise promotes ecological transformation and the ship itself is also an ecological transformation laboratory, pushing the limits of zero-emission technologies. By using hydrogen, wind, solar, and tidal energy, ships have discovered and optimized clean energy to serve humans.

The Energy Observer ship has covered 50,000 nautical miles, stopped 73 times, including 16 times organizing mobile educational villages, and visited more than 40 countries. Vietnam is the final country for their stop in Southeast Asia.

Mekong Environment Forum supported Energy Observer organizing a program to conduct short memoirs about the impacts of climate change and green energy trends in two locations: Can Tho City and Tra Vinh Province from June 25 to June 28, 2022.
